EAGLES VARSITY ARE 2012 STATE CHAMPS!!!
The Milton Boys Varsity Golf Team won The 2012 Class AAAAA GHSA State Championship Monday at Champions Retreat GC in Augusta, GA.
Led by Senior Sanders Park even par 72, the Eagles (302) in a close tournament went on to win the title by 1 stroke over Benedictine (303) and Alpharetta (304).
The Eagles scoring was rounded out by Seniors Brandon Lee (75), Zack Jaworski (77) and Junior Ian Shapiro (78).
Also playing at State were Senior Chase Knox (89) and Freshman Ryan Stachler (83).

WINNING THEIR FIRST EVER STATE TITLE!

Varsity Wins Regional Going Away!
The Milton Boys Varsity shot a Team score 291 and won the Regional Tournament today beating Alpharetta (308) by 17 strokes. Roswell came in third place at (312).
Scoring was led by Senior Zack Jaworski (70). Also scoring well and posting for the Team score were Seniors Sanders Park (73), Brandon Lee (74) and Freshman Ryan Stachler (74).
Also playing for The Eagles in the tournament were Juniors Ian Shapiro (77) and Cory Berg (80).
The Varsity Eagles play for The State Championship Monday May 7th at Champions Retreat in Augusta, GA.

JV Wins Season Ending Region Championship!
The MiltonBoys JV Team won their 2012 JV Region Championship yesterday in blustery conditions at the Alpharetta Athletic Club’s East Course. The Eagles shot a winning team score of (231) beating out Peachtree Ridge (234) and the six other region teams who participated.
Sophomores Dawson Kipniss, Evan Goldfuss and Thomas Pettigrew all tied for Tournament low rounds each posting 5 over 77′s and were named to The All Tournament Team.
Also scoring in the Tournament were Freshman Kyle Stuetelberg (80) and Soph Justin Beard (93)
Congratulations to Coach Bordas and the JV Eagles on an excellent 2012 season.

Varsity Seniors Place 2nd at SPX Golden Lion
Milton Varsity Seniors Sanders Park and Zack Jaworski shot a team score -10 under par in the 13 hole abbreviated SPX Golden Lion Challenge at Laurel Springs GC, placing 2nd overall only one shot out of first place.
Other scores: Knox/Shapiro – 6 and Berg/Stachler -5.
Varsity plays next in the Regional Tournament on Thursday April 26th at Achasta GC.
